Whether you're hosting or just looking to get into the holiday spirit, it’s always fun to make your home feel warm and festive. Its always smart to save on for sale items in store or online. The best deals are right before Christmas, or even the days right after Christmas if you want to get an early start on next year’s decorations.
Here are a few more tips to make your home magical for the holidays, while sticking to your budget.
1. Use greenery. This could be evergreen clippings from the Christmas tree farm, or holly leaves from your back yard. The best thing about greenery is that its free! Use it to make your own wreaths, decorate the mantle, or mix in with your holiday lights. Have pinecones in your yard? Consider adding some glitter and using them as a centerpiece.
2. Turn up the ambiance with candles. Use real (or fake) candles to add some holiday lighting an ambiance in any room. Pick up some tea lights from the dollar store, or try out some holiday scents like cinnamon, gingerbread, spruce, or peppermint.
3. Wrap presents early. There’s nothing more festive than holiday presents under the tree!
4. Do what you can. If you’re in a small house or apartment, that doesn’t mean you can’t decorate. Find a small tree that fits your space and make your home festive with seasonal accent pillows or towels in your guest bathroom.
